Cancer may be difficult to track and notice. The indications may either develop early or late, leading to the malignancy of tumor. In the case of lymphoma, early warning signs are obvious but could be interpreted by some as another type of disease or cancer too. Since there is Hodgkins lymphoma and non Hodgkin’s lymphoma, it is even more complicated to determine if you really are suffering from cancer. It is important that one must visit a doctor to verify whether their condition is associated with lymphoma or not. The worst case that could happen to a patient is to suffer from severe pain and agony. Examine your body for any physical changes like lumps, dryness of the skin, and any achy feeling.

Lymph node swelling is the number one indicator of this cancer and can point to different illnesses. These are tender and painless lumps that develop normally in the neck area, armpit and groin. They may be caused by infection present in a particular area and increases the size of nodes. Other causes of swollen nodes include lupus and allergic reaction to medicines or foods. Those who have problems in metabolism can suffer from enlarged nodes too.

Unexplained weight loss for no apparent reason is like a dream for some. There are different reasons why one has dropped pounds in a month or two only. However when dieting is not in your plan, you should pay a visit to your doctor. Depression, diabetes and malnutrition are only few of additional reasons seen by doctors for unexplained weight loss. Those who do not fall from the mentioned illnesses are probably victims of liver disorders or other cancer types.

Fever is normal but persistent occurrence of high fever is frightening. A flu that last for a day or two can be examined by a doctor and the prescribed medication can keep you well. In the case of lymphoma, fever is prolonged for a week or two. Other conditions that have the same case are urinary tract infection or tuberculosis. What makes this fever annoying is the instance where it will subside for week then comes back again days after. The fever associated with lymphoma is called Pel Ebstein fever, named after the pathologist who first described this condition.

No one knows that they are suffering from cancer until they are diagnosed. So while you are neglecting all these symptoms taking place in your body, the cancer cells are busily attacking all the normal cells and consuming the nutrients that you intake. This makes food unappealing to you and the loss of appetite can result to weakening. Some would feel depressed and experience fatigue more often.

Are all of these happening to you right now? You should not neglect any of these symptoms because it is probably the cause of your death. Yes lymphoma is curable, but in limited cases only. There are conditions where cancer has reached the advanced stage and neither chemo nor radiotherapy is able to treat them.
