Why selling your photography service can be a difficult task.

Selling your photography services could be one of the most difficult tasks. Not all wedding photographers enjoy being a salesperson. Showing your work and hoping the couple will book can be more stressful than taking a more aggressive approach. However, this does not mean you need to become a high pressure salesman. In fact, showing your work and asking questions is all that is required. Allow prospects to tell you what they desire. Listening to their requests and concerns will allow you to provide exactly what they need.

The first thing you need to do is decide what services and products your going to offer. Then you must decide on your fees. This decision should not be taken lightly. A well though price list should be based on your production costs, competition and income requirements Lastly, create and print only one price list. This list should be your and yours alone. This prevents prospects from shopping just based on price. I highly recommend you meet with all prospects to be able to sell them properly.
